Established in 2002, the IDEA has been given to more than 200 recipients from over 40 low- and middle-income countries. These awards are designed to improve global oncology by providing support to early-career oncologists to attend the ASCO Annual Meeting and to develop a relationship with a scientific mentor who is a leading ASCO member.
