First awarded in 2009, the ASCO Loan Repayment Program, funded by Susan G. Komen for the Cure® (LRP), provides repayment of qualifying educational debt to oncologists, or to oncology fellows upon completion of training, who commit to practicing oncology in a medically underserved region of the United States. To date, six awards have been presented to deserving individuals.
