New Hope for Patients with Thyroid Cancer: Spotlight on Marcia Brose, MD, PhD

Marcia Brose, MD, PhD of the University of Pennsylvania received a Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Young Investigator Award (YIA) in 2000 that helped inspire her to pursue  a career in cancer research.  Thirteen years later, patients with treatment-resistant thyroid cancer now have renewed hope thanks to groundbreaking research led by Dr. Brose.  Watch this video to learn what receiving a YIA meant to her, how her work is now helping patients worldwide who previously had no viable treatment options,  and how it felt to present her work in the Plenary Session of the ASCO Annual Meeting in front of thousands of colleagues.
